Fuji-Q Highland crowd forecast summary: November 2026–January 2027
“One more round of coasters before winter really sets in!” But prices change by the day, coasters close for maintenance date by date, and winter hours get shorter — it’s hard to know when to go.
Here’s the short answer first: on our forecast, weekdays look calmer in all three months, while Saturdays, three-day weekends with a national holiday, and the New Year holidays look busier.
Don’t pick by price alone: even on a cheap weekday, a big coaster may be closed. Narrow your date down in this order:
- Leave out the closure days of the rides you want (see “Events & closures” below)
- From what’s left, choose a weekday or a cheaper day (each month’s key-points table)
- Check that day’s opening hours and decide when you’ll head home
Fuji-Q Highland November 2026 crowd trend
On our forecast, November weekdays look calmer, while Saturdays and the national holidays (Culture Day and Labor Thanksgiving Day) look busier. Saturday, November 21 through Monday, November 23 is a three-day weekend.
The Halloween events and the My Hero Academia collaboration end in early November, and “Thomas Land Christmas 2026” starts on Monday, November 2.
The adult One-Day Pass has three prices. The cheapest, ¥7,200 (approx. $48 USD), applies on only two days: Wednesday, November 25 and Thursday, November 26. Tuesday, November 24 is a weekday but ¥7,900, so check the date rather than the day of the week (table below).
The Ferris wheel closes for renewal work from November 9, so if you want to ride it, go by Sunday, November 8.

On our forecast, December weekdays look calm too, and Saturdays look busier. The cheapest ¥7,200 days fall on Tuesdays to Thursdays, and from Friday, December 25 the year-end is ¥7,900 (table below).
Thursday, December 10 is a closed day. Weekday hours are short — about seven hours — so decide your must-ride coasters first and arrive for opening. On New Year’s Eve the park stays open past midnight (table below).

On our forecast, the New Year holidays and the Coming of Age Day three-day weekend (January 9–11) look busy, and weekdays after that look calmer.
January has six closed days on Wednesdays and Thursdays (table below), so if you’re going on a weekday, rule those out first. The park opens at 9:00 AM on January 1–3 and at 10:00 AM on every other day, so decide your time home in advance.
“Thomas Land Christmas 2026” runs through Coming of Age Day on the 11th, and the Persona collaboration and the Ferris wheel closure continue to the end of the month. January’s price table and maintenance closures had not been announced as of October 25, 2026.

The Red Tower is closed for the time being because of the Cool Japan demolition work (no reopening date). Tentekomai is closed from October 5, 2026 until late July 2027 (planned) for the construction of a new large attraction, and the Ferris wheel from November 9, 2026 to January 31, 2027 for renewal work.

The big coasters can also close on the day for strong wind or lightning — the official site and app show same-day status.
