What this calendar shows

A daily crowd forecast for LEGOLAND Japan (Nagoya) on a 1–7 scale — lower means quieter. Tap a date for weather and ride wait-time estimates; past dates show actual recorded data. For families, choosing a quiet day can easily double the number of rides you get through.

How it works

The forecast combines the official calendar, historical crowd patterns, real wait times recorded daily and weather data, recalibrated automatically every day. Our accuracy score is published openly at the top.

The crowd outlook on this page is our own forecast, not a guarantee of how busy a day will be. Opening hours, ticket prices, events and closures follow LEGOLAND Japan’s official announcements.

FAQ

Q. How often is the data updated?
A. Real wait times are recorded automatically every day, and the full forecast is refreshed regularly. The written content on this page was checked against the official site on August 21, 2026.

Q. Can the forecast be wrong?
A. Yes — that is why we publish our accuracy score right on the calendar. Weather and special events can change crowds quickly, so treat it as a planning guide.

Q. When are the quietest days this fall?
A. On our forecast, weekdays are the quieter choice — especially Wednesdays and Thursdays, the start of each month, and the days right after Halloween wraps. Public holidays and weekends are the ones to avoid.

Q. How long does the Splash Pad run?
A. Officially from Saturday, May 30 through Sunday, September 27, 2026. Entry is by timed reservation, children age 5 and under need an adult, and the slider requires 40 in (102 cm) or taller and under 200 lb (90.9 kg). Water Mayhem II has been closed since August 20, 2026.

Q. When is Halloween at LEGOLAND Japan?
A. “LEGOLAND Halloween Party” runs Friday, October 2 through Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The Special Minifigure Trade runs in two halves — October 2 to 17, then October 18 to November 3 — with different minifigures in each.

Q. Has the 2026 Christmas event been announced?
A. The dates have been. LEGOLAND Japan’s official 2026 schedule, published in January, lists the Christmas event from Friday, November 20 to Friday, December 25. Details are not out yet, and dates or names may change, so check the official site before you go.

Q. Which attractions are closed right now?
A. As posted on August 21, 2026: Water Mayhem II (from August 20), Beetle Bounce (from August 7), Rainbow Design Studio and its shop (from May 19), and Lloyd’s Spinjitzu Spinners (from May 16, 2025). Part of The Wharf is partially closed through September 18.

Q. Does Level 1 mean the park will feel empty?
A. Not exactly. The level is only a rough guide. Even on Level 1 days, the water-play area, restaurants, indoor rest spots, and the parking lot can still get concentrated.

LEGOLAND Japan crowd forecast summary: September–November 2026

A family comparing the Splash Pad's final day with the October Halloween opening to pick a visit date

Water play runs through September 27 and Halloween starts October 2. For a fall visit, pinning down the event switchovers first makes planning easier than watching the crowd rank alone.

For September through November 2026 at LEGOLAND Japan, the dates to watch are the five-day Silver Week run from Saturday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 23, the three-day weekend around Sports Day (Monday, October 12), Culture Day (Tuesday, November 3), and Labor Thanksgiving Day (Monday, November 23). On the official schedule, the summer program “Get Soaked This Summer at LEGOLAND” ended Monday, August 31, and “LEGOLAND Halloween Party” runs from Friday, October 2 through Tuesday, November 3. These three months take you from swimsuits and towels to light jackets and camera gear, so your packing list shifts along the way.

Across these three months our forecast keeps LEGOLAND Japan at the calmest level of the five parks we track. October is the most elevated of the three, because “LEGOLAND Halloween Party” runs through the whole month and lifts the weekends in particular.

LEGOLAND doesn’t sustain the high ranks you see at Tokyo Disney or USJ, but it draws a lot of families with young children, so indoor rest spots, restaurants, and the parking lot get concentrated no matter the season.

One pattern stands out across these three months. The five easiest days we pick for each month are all weekdays, and most of them are Wednesdays or Thursdays.

The days we flag to watch, meanwhile, land almost entirely on public holidays and weekends: Silver Week and the last weekend of September, the Sports Day weekend and the Saturdays in October, then Culture Day and Labor Thanksgiving Day in November.

If you can travel midweek, aim for a Wednesday or Thursday; if weekends are your only option, pick one that isn’t attached to a holiday.

This page summarizes the next three months for families using Tabibito Port’s own crowd calendar dataset—12 months of past data plus 12 months of forward-looking forecasts, 24 months in total. The crowd levels are our own estimates, not official announcements. Event names, dates, and closure details come from official announcements.

September 2026 crowd trend

September is the month where the gap between weekdays and weekends shows up most clearly. On our forecast the busiest stretch is the first half of the Silver Week holiday run, followed by the last weekend of the month. If you can go on a weekday, simply skipping the holidays and weekends should keep the waits down.

Sunday, September 27 is also the Splash Pad’s final day, so last-minute water-play visitors may pile in.

On our forecast, the easier days are the weekdays before Silver Week, mostly Wednesdays and Thursdays, while the water play is still running.

The days to avoid are Saturday, September 19 through Monday, September 21, and the final weekend on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. Levels are recalculated every morning, so check the calendar itself for the latest before you book.

LEGOLAND Japan uses date-based pricing — the official site states that “ticket prices vary depending on your visit date.” Our calendar shows the adult fare taken from the official price list for each date. The official 1-Day Passport (adult) has six price bands: ¥4,900–¥7,100 (approx. $33–$48 USD) when bought by the day before, and ¥5,400–¥7,800 (approx. $36–$52 USD) on the day itself.

Buying at the gate on the day adds a ¥500 (approx. $3 USD) issuing fee per ticket, so booking online in advance is cheaper. Opening hours are mostly 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some weekend and holiday dates running to 6:00 PM.

October 2026 crowd trend

“LEGOLAND Halloween Party” opens Friday, October 2 and carries into November, which keeps the whole month lifted. Of the three months, October shows the clearest split between weekdays and weekends on our forecast.

The days to watch are the Sports Day three-day weekend and the weekends during the Halloween Party. Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31, also falls on a weekend, so if you’re heading out in costume, an early arrival helps.

On our forecast, the easier days are the weekdays in the first half of the month, around the Halloween opening.

Note that Friday, October 2 is opening day itself. It suits anyone who wants to see the decorations and the first minifigure trade early, but if a calm visit matters more, the following week’s weekdays are the safer pick.

If you’re hoping to photograph your kids in front of the Halloween decorations, simply skipping weekends and the three-day holiday should make the day easier to move through.

One more October note if you’re driving: the Kinjo-futo parking lot is scheduled to revise its rates from October 1, with the daily maximum on weekends and public holidays rising by ¥500 (approx. $3 USD).

Opening hours follow the same pattern as September — mostly 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some weekend and holiday dates running to 6:00 PM.

November 2026 crowd trend

The two days that stand out in November are Culture Day on Tuesday, November 3 and Labor Thanksgiving Day on Monday, November 23. Tuesday, November 3 is also the final day of “LEGOLAND Halloween Party,” so with a holiday and the event’s last day falling together, we expect it to be a busy day.

Once those two are behind you, the rest of November is the calmest stretch of the fall on our forecast.

On our forecast, the easier days are the weekdays right after Halloween wraps and toward the end of the month, mostly Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Mid-to-late November Wednesdays and Thursdays rank alongside the September weekdays. Mornings and evenings are chilly by then, so bring a light jacket for outdoor queues.

Opening hours stay in the same pattern: mostly 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some weekend and holiday dates running to 6:00 PM.

For Christmas, LEGOLAND Japan’s official 2026 schedule, published in January, lists the Christmas event from Friday, November 20 to Friday, December 25, and our calendar now shows the Christmas season on those dates.

Event details have not been announced yet, and the official schedule notes that dates and names may change. If Christmas is the main reason for your trip, pick a date from November 20 onward.

Check the official events page (English) for the latest.

Week-by-week crowd forecast for September 2026

Tuesday, September 1 – Sunday, September 6

A settled week now that Japanese summer break is over. On our forecast, the weekdays early in the month are among the easier ones, while the weekend runs busier. The Splash Pad is still running, so pack swimwear, towels, and a change of clothes exactly as you would in August.

Monday, September 7 – Sunday, September 13

Another calm week on weekdays. On our forecast, the midweek days are among the easier ones of the month, while the weekend runs busier. Daytime highs can still climb in September, so keep the hat and drinks in your bag. Picking one or two indoor attractions and a rest spot in advance gives you somewhere to retreat during the hottest hours.

Monday, September 14 – Friday, September 18

The week right before Silver Week. On our forecast, the midweek and later weekdays here are some of the easier days across all three months, so it’s a good week if you can go before the holidays. Note that part of The Wharf area is scheduled to be partially closed from Monday, June 1 through Friday, September 18. Official info says the north side stays open, so it helps to plan a route that comes around past the Marina Snack Shack.

Saturday, September 19 – Wednesday, September 23

September’s biggest stretch to watch. Respect for the Aged Day (Monday, September 21), a Compensatory Holiday (Tuesday, September 22), and Autumnal Equinox Day (Wednesday, September 23) chain into a five-day run starting Saturday, September 19. On our forecast, the first three days of the run are the busiest part, and things ease a little in the second half. Locking in your hotel, tickets, and arrival time early will make the day itself much easier.

Thursday, September 24 – Wednesday, September 30

The week after the holidays. Sunday, September 27 is the Splash Pad’s final day, so water-play fans are likely to gather that day. From Monday, September 28 the water-play content is finished, and Halloween doesn’t start until Friday, October 2—so these few days fall into a gap between events. If you’d rather work through the attractions calmly than chase decorations, this window suits you.

Events & closures as of September 2026

Per LEGOLAND Japan’s official info, the Splash Pad water-play area runs from Saturday, May 30 through Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Entry is by reservation in timed slots, taken from the official reservation page. Slots run from 8:00 AM through the late afternoon (the 9:00 AM slots only on days the park opens at 9:00, and the 5:00 PM slots only on days it closes at 6:00).

Swimwear is required, children age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and the slider requires a height of 40 in (102 cm) or more and a weight under 200 lb (90.9 kg). Reservation rules and times can change, so check official info on the morning of your visit.

The summer program “Get Soaked This Summer at LEGOLAND” ended Monday, August 31, 2026.

Water Mayhem II is now posted on the official closure page as closed from August 20, 2026 “for the time being,” so from September the Splash Pad is the main water-play option.

The fall headliner is “LEGOLAND Halloween Party” 2026, officially scheduled from Friday, October 2 through Tuesday, November 3 (a public holiday). The lineup includes photo spots such as a giant pumpkin built from DUPLO bricks, a Candy Hunt where kids collect sweets, and a Halloween-only 4D movie built around escaping a monster party. The Special Minifigure Trade runs in two halves—Friday, October 2 to Saturday, October 17, then Sunday, October 18 to Tuesday, November 3—with different minifigures in each. Halloween-exclusive “Colorful Pumpkin” merchandise is ¥2,000 each (tax included, approx. $13 USD), with ¥500 (approx. $3 USD) off when you buy in advance on the official website; sales run October 2 to November 3.

For closures: part of The Wharf area is scheduled to be partially closed from Monday, June 1 through Friday, September 18, 2026. The north side stays open, and official info suggests routing past the Marina Snack Shack.

Water Mayhem II (from August 20, 2026), Beetle Bounce (from August 7, 2026), Rainbow Design Studio and its in-studio shop (from May 19, 2026), and Lloyd’s Spinjitzu Spinners (from May 16, 2025) are all posted as closed “for the time being.”

A few single-day closures are also posted for September: Submarine Adventure closes at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, September 2; Imagination Celebration is closed on Monday, September 7; and Brick Party is closed from Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17.

Closures can be added or changed, so check the official attraction closure page (English) before you go.

Opening hours vary by day. From September through November, most days are posted as 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with weekend and holiday dates running to 6:00 PM. LEGOLAND also notes that on days when crowds are expected, the park may begin admission earlier than the posted opening time—confirm just before your visit on the official opening hours page (English).

When to book your hotel: timing & plan trends

A family comparing Silver Week and Halloween-season hotel plans near LEGOLAND Japan

During the autumn holidays and the Halloween season, hotel demand near the park can build faster than the in-park crowd ranks would suggest.

Autumn at LEGOLAND Japan concentrates hotel demand into two windows: Silver Week in September, and the Halloween season running from October through November 3. Plans at the official LEGOLAND Japan Hotel rotate with the seasons, and perks and eligible dates can change—confirm on the official hotel page (English) before you book. For nearby options, hotels in the Kinjo-futo area (LEGOLAND’s island location on Nagoya Bay) and central Nagoya are the usual candidates.

If avoiding crowds is your priority, our forecast points to Wednesdays and Thursdays in early-to-mid September, weekdays in the first half of October, and Wednesdays and Thursdays in mid-to-late November. Conversely, the September 19–23 Silver Week run, the three-day Sports Day weekend around October 12, and the Halloween finale from November 1 to 3 tend to pull hotel demand up faster than the in-park ranks alone would suggest—so compare early.
